OLYMPIA — A Bellingham doctor facing discipline for allegedly dispensing old flu shots also is accused of inappropriately photographing a young patient, state regulators said.
Dr. Gary McCallum may request a settlement or hearing on the new charges but has not yet answered the new complaint, Lisa Noonan, a program manager for the state Medical Quality Assurance Commission, said Wednesday.
Last fall, the commission charged McCallum with administering expired flu vaccine. In February, he was accused of a half-dozen other infractions, including sexual contact with a patient and stealing merchandise from local stores.
On May 24, the commission accused McCallum of photographing a child’s genital area.
A phone message at McCallum’s Bellingham medical practice said the office had closed May 23.
